Jamaica Hospital was founded in 1883 and has undergone a major transformation over the past 25 years of its existence.
Bicaluro Associates P.C. was hired to design the HVAC, Plumbing and Sprinkler systems upgrade and renovation of the existing 6th floor in Building B.
The HVAC equipment was carefully selected to comply with local Codes and ASHRAE guidelines for health facilities. The required positive, neutral or negative space air pressure was carefully designed in compliance with the codes. Air filtration has been selected to use MERV8 prefilters and MERV 14 final filters for the Patient Rooms. The air changes per hour (ACH) have been calculated and provided in all Patient Rooms.
